Here is Kenneth Murphy's story

Kenneth Murphy’s journey with Our Lady began with Mrs. Mary Murphy, his mother. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. When she was 6 months old her parents learned about Our Lady of Fatima.

One of Our Lady's promises at Fatima was that Portugal would always keep the dogma of the faith. On fire for Our Lady, the young parents picked up their six month old baby Mary and moved to Fatima, Portugal.

They became neighbors and close friends with John Haffert who had just finished his book Meet the Witnesses [interviews with those who saw the miracle of the sun], and Mary's father began to work for him as a local tour guide for visiting American pilgrims.

Sadly, after eighteen years, a socialist government returned to Portugal and kicked out most Americans including Mrs. Murphy and her parents. With only the things they could fit into their Land Rover, they drove to Spain and soon after resettled in Ireland. In Ireland, Mary Murphy got married and Kenneth Murphy was born, her third of five children.

Born, yes, but the pregnancy was not an easy one. Doctors warned Mary Murphy that she and Kenneth could not survive internal bleeding caused by complications with the pregnancy. In response, Mrs. Murphy took a small postcard of a traveling statue of Our Lady and promised that if Kenneth was born alive, he would be dedicated to her.

Thirteen years later Kenneth would accompany that SAME statue pictured on the postcard on her first tour of Irish Churches. Mrs. Mary Murphy arranged the church appointments and Kenneth was the Fatima Custodian's sidekick, helping to carry things but also listening and learning.

In 2007 while studying in Pennsylvania, Kenneth started home presentations on Fatima on weekends throughout Maryland; Pennsylvania and Virginia. He would visit two homes on Fridays, three homes on Saturdays, two homes on Sundays and three on Mondays using one of America Needs Fatima's twelve copies.

After six years of this part time weekend work Kenneth made a big jump to full time visiting (everyday except Sunday). For this, America Needs Fatima flew Kenneth and his statue to the Golden State, where he brought her to approximately 40,000 Californians over a stretch of five years until May 2018.

Kenneth was then asked if he would prefer to volunteer in Florida or New England and he picked New England, where he has been traveling with the statue ever since.

Kenneth Murphy visits up to three homes per day Monday - Friday and then joins a local Public Square Rosary Rally on Saturdays. He is only able to volunteer continuously like this thanks to monthly sponsors and kind donors. Please consider supporting his work in New England.
